Our role is to provide preliminary town planning and design advice (eg. required statutory processes, land use, maximum density, site coverage, car parking, landscaping etc) and manage the relevant approval phases of the proposal. Commonly, we take the role of lead consultant and manage the required allied consultants (e.g. architects, civil engineers, surveyors) and coordinate the preparation of specialist design plans and reporting, to support the proposal and to demonstrate compliance with the relevant Local, State or Commonwealth legislative requirements. We can also become part of larger project teams, whereby we are directed by a lead consultant, to undertake the associated town planning and approval aspects of large projects (eg. large infrastructure projects, where the lead consultant is often a large environmental or multi-disciplinary firm).
