Redlynch Eco-Resort, Cairns

The approved Redlynch Eco Resort is bounded by Freshwater Creek and the World Heritage listed Dinden National Park and is within the 500 metres of the Crystal Cascades. The resort consists of a number of Eco-Villas scattered throughout the site in a series of lightweight, ecologically sustainable building ‘pods’. Standards and guidelines of the Green Building Council of Australia were a useful reference tool for the design of the resort, with the intent to gain green star ratings to all the proposed resort buildings.

ADAMS + SPARKES were engaged to plan, coordinate and manage a proposed mixed use development in this prominent location on the Sunshine Coast. The proposed development includes a purpose built Orthodontic Practice on the ground floor and residential apartment on the first floor. The aim was to gain development approval for a modern, visually appealing development, taking advantage of the sites high exposure to a major transport corridor.

‘The Pines’, Yeppoon

Located on a 120 hectare site in central Queensland and minutes from Yeppoon, the $500 million master planned community, ‘The Pines’, is set to be home to approximately 2,000 people upon completion.

Comprising 82 environmentally sustainable, spacious apartments, including a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments over 12 storeys, Verde’ will also involve the construction of the largest vertical garden in Queensland. The north and south facing walls of the building will include 480 square metres of plants including herbs and succulents

9 Lot Residential Subdivision, Coomera

The proposal was subject to a previous Preliminary Approval of Subdivision over the site, which overrides the current Council Planning Scheme. It was proposed to further subdivide the 3 lots (average 1600m²) into 9 smaller lots (534m² average) to allow for further dwelling houses to be developed in the community, which were depicted as Multi-Dwelling Land Uses under the Preliminary Approval.

Dual Occupancy, Buderim

The proposed development comprises two (2) uniquely designed dwelling units and has been designed to ensure it presents as a single detached dwelling from the street frontage. The proposed development represents a high quality built form and sympathetic streetscape outcomes for the site. The subject site has an area of 802m2 and a frontage of 17.250m, which was less than the recommended 20m minimum frontage, however the development was designed to ensure the dwelling units and all associated elements (access, parking, setbacks, and private open space) had been designed generally in accordance with the key elements of the applicable planning scheme codes.
